YERUN Open Science Awards 2023

Call for applications
The 2023 call for applications is now open!

If you are a researcher or a staff member from a YERUN partner university and you or your team have initiated an activity on Open Science, YERUN invites you to apply for the YERUN Open Science awards

The awards target initiatives that support the scholarly community to adopt and implement Open Science principles in their work, and that are implemented by researchers and/or by administrative staff or professional services (in teams or individually, mixed teams are also possible).

Up to five initiatives will be selected and awarded as an inspiring practice in its field(s) that serves as an example for others in implementing Open Science.

Winners will bring in a monetary award to their institution/department (2,000€ for each award), which will be used to further advance the existing initiative or implement a new initiative on Open Science and will be invited to showcase their work at an event organised by YERUN. All other eligible initiatives will be showcased in a dedicated space on the YERUN website and newsletter.

We encourage the submission of inspiring and innovative practices that contribute to raising awareness and to building a community that impelements and fosters Open Science Practices and in this way bolster the university’s overall Open Science culture.

Please note that at the time of application, initiatives should be beyond the stage of planning and implementation, thus the initiative should be already up and running at the time of application.

You can find the 2023 Call as well as detailed information on eligibility criteria, applicants information or evaluation procedure  here.

Deadline for applications is 5 December 2023 at 23:59 CET. Winners will be informed in February 2024.
