The Rapid Response Group, or in short: SEG ("Schnelle-Einsatz-Gruppe"), is a group of employees of the University of Konstanz who have volunteered to provide first aid in emergency cases. Through special further training and special knowledge, the qualification of the SEG-members goes beyond the normal level of first-aiders within the University of Konstanz. In an emergency, they are alerted by mobile phone via a group call with control via the i-point/control room. Depending on how many people are on site and available, usually two to four helpers appear at the emergency location within minutes to take over the further care and rescue chain from the first responders. The group is led and supported by the in-house physician and the company paramedics.
