New Year reception 2024
Cheers to a Happy New Year: On 26 January 2024 at 18:00, the University of Konstanz Alumni Association welcomes you to join the annual New Year reception on level K 5.
Please join us on Friday, 26 January 2024, for the University of Konstanz Alumni Association's traditional New Year reception. We extend a warm welcome to alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends of the university – all are invited! Festivities will commence at 18:00 on level K 5.
Welcoming our guests, chairperson Peter Gottwald will provide insights into the exciting projects and activities planned for the forthcoming year. In the course of the evening, we will honour outstanding achievements with prestigious study and science awards. Afterwards, we look forward to relaxed conversations, Davide Martello's enchanting piano melodies, and a selection of delicious food and drinks. Here's to a fantastic New Year!

Award ceremony on 26 January 2024
International VEUK awards and DAAD prize
Each year, VEUK e. V. presents an award recognizing exceptional achievements by international students who graduate from any Konstanz department. Academic excellence as well as personal and social commitment are key selection criteria.
The DAAD prize (German Academic Exchange Service) recognizes extraordinary academic achievements and international students' particular commitment in the areas of society, the university and intercultural exchange. Funding for the DAAD prize is provided by the German Federal Foreign Office.
DIETRICH H. BOESKEN Award
Since 2008, the DIETRICH H. BOESKEN award has been presented each year to the student with the best master’s degree performance within a faculty. In 2023, the prize is awarded to a student within the Faculty of Sciences. The prize fund of 5,000 euros is donated annually by the DIETRICH H. BOESKEN foundation.
Transfer Award
With the 2023 Transfer Award, the University of Konstanz Society (UGK e. V.) recognizes an outstandig project that successfully connects science and society.

Travel to the university
From the main entrance, it only takes a few minutes to reach level K5 in building K. If you travel via bus lines 9 A/B, 9C or 11, please note that, due to construction work, the current bus stop is at the top of car park "P-Nord" by Eggerhaldestr. However, bus line 4/13 runs as usual, and the stop "Uni/Egg" is near the entrances to buildings G and H.
