You probably have an idea of ​​the prerequisites employees should have in order to perform well in the context of your team. The German Council of Science and Humanities and various university associations such as the German University Association of Advanced Graduate Training (GUAT) expressly recommend the use of transparent selection procedures based on aptitude diagnostic standards. The following guidelines for the selection of doctoral candidates explain the various steps of a successful selection process for academia and provide information on the use of suitable aptitude diagnostic selection tools. Adapted accordingly, they can also be used for the selection of postdocs.
