Startup success at the University of Konstanz: The young company "Subsequent GmbH" was honored with the State Innovation Award and can look forward to the 50,000 euros in prize money. Founder Manuel Stein, who earned his doctorate in computer and information science at the University of Konstanz, develops innovative solutions with his startup to collect 3D skeletal and positional data from video recordings.
The city of Constance was selected in 2021 as part of the federal government's "Smart Cities" funding program. Scientists and students can submit their sketches for the program. The program is looking for projects that use digitization to minimize resource consumption, improve the quality of life in Constance, and strengthen participation and cohesion in urban society.
