Literature – Art – Media – Master of Arts

Symbolbild

Postgraduate study programme which requires a first university degree.

For this, the University of Konstanz offers the Bachelor's Programme in Literature – Art – Media.

In the Literature – Art – Media Master’s Programme you will focus on the cultural, technical and aesthetic characteristics of different media and how they manifest themselves in different forms of social communication. You will consider the potential of art and literature to exhibit, disturb and playfully develop further. Thus, through the analysis of concrete artefacts, significant insights are gained about media practices affecting the handling of images, photographs, films, maps or diagrams, narratives and documentation, the collecting of objects or data etc. The approach is from a cultural studies perspective, it is interdisciplinary and is designed to gain insights into current issues. During the course of your studies you will choose an area of focus, such as art or the media, or an interdisciplinary focus that spotlights an interface between literature and art or literature and the media. This is the area in which you will complete your studies.
