Department of Computer and Information Science
We welcome our new students to the BSc Computer Science and MSc Computer and Information Science programmes.
Preparatory course mathematics
The Department of Computer and Information Science runs a one-week preparatory course in mathematics (taught in German) to smooth the transition from school to university. In this course you can brush up on your school knowledge of mathematics and learn how to work at the same (university) level with your fellow students.
We highly recommend taking part in the preparatory course in mathematics for students of the following programmes:
- BA Computer Science major, 1st semester
- BA Computer Science minor, 1st semester
- MEd, additional subject Computer Science 1st semester
You can find information about the preparatory course and other introductory events in the slider at the bottom of the page.
If you are unable to attend the preparatory course in person, please take the opportunity to participate in an online course like the KIT's VE&MINT course in mathematics www.ve-und-mint.de/index.php (available in German).
