OriPro
The orientation programme for international students - getting ready for the lecture period in one week
Every April and October, a free orientation programme takes place to make it easier for new international students to start their studies.
Shortly before lectures begin, all formalities that are important for studying and staying in Konstanz are organised jointly: from opening a bank account, the membership of a health insurance fund, enrolment at the university to applying for a residence permit for international students from non-EU/EEA countries.
In addition, we offer introductions to German academic culture and discuss (inter-)cultural expectations. We also support you in organising your studies.
In addition to guided tours of the university and its most important facilities, a city tour and an excursion to the surrounding area are organised.
OriPro October 2024 (7.-11.10.2024)
The course starts on Thu, 7.10.2024 at 9.00 a.m. on campus (room to be announced)
Official arrival days for moving into the Seezeit halls of residence are
Tue, 1.10.2024, Wed, 2.10.2024 and Fri, 4.10.2024
Important:
On Thu, 3.10.2024 (Day of German Unity), as well as on Sat, 5.10.2024 and Sun, 6.10.2024 (weekend) you CANNOT move into the Seezeit residences!
OriPro October 2024 will take place from 07 - 11 October 2024.
GO-Konstanz participants cannot participate in OriPro since they will have already benefited from the orientation activities and information.
FAQ for OriPro
Who can participate?
- New international exchange students (registration is included in the application for exchange studies)
- Free movers (non-degree students) only upon prior registration via email to the Incoming Exchange Team
- New degree-seeking students can attend OriPro Master or GO Konstanz in the Winter Semester. In the Summer Semester, please reach out directly via email to the Degree-Seeking Team.
ECTS
No ECTS can be granted for the programme.
