Info: Possibility to have rooms booked by the Tourist Information Konstanz
The Tourist Information Konstanz conference service is happy to book accommodations on your behalf (particularly useful when a large number of room allocations is needed). Participants receive booking confirmation from the Tourist Information Konstanz along with important information pertainting to their arrival and stay. Additionally, event organisers receive an up-to-date list of bookings shortly before their event. Upon request, Tourist Information Konstanz will also create an online booking form for your event, which you may use on your website. This will enable participants to book their hotel online.
The block-booking service is provided free of charge, the online booking form service costs €50 (not incl. VAT).

Your stay in Konstanz: tourist tax and visitor’s bus ticket
Business travellers with business in Konstanz (which includes conference participants) do not have to pay the tourist tax when staying overnight in Konstanz.
For those who stay more than one night in Konstanz it might be worth paying the tourist tax of 2.50 euros per day: you will receive the Lake Constance guest pass including a voucher to ride the city buses for free. The guest pass also includes numerous discounts on a wide range of tourist attractions across the Lake Constance region. The tax is payable to your landlord/landlady at your accommodation. Please note, however, that according to the Bundesreisekostengesetz (federal travel expenses act), the visitor's tax does NOT have to be reimbursed by the employer in the travel expense report.
